This is where you should act immediately and perform CPR on the person. Along with that, you will be able to provide blood and other important nutrients to the vital organs of the body. Hence, you can help a person to increase the chances of survival.

The Importance of First Aid Training when you go out for a Vacation

First Aid Training Winnipeg

It is important for everyone to have a solid understanding on how to give first aid. This knowledge becomes useful and important in many different situations. It can even help you to save your life as well as the lives of others around you.

I’m going to tell you about one such experience, where the First Aid Training Winnipeg I got from CPR courses helped to save the life of another person.

During the last vacation, I was spending my time in the Caribbean along with my husband. I was impressed with the fascinating sights of the beaches that I could enjoy. In fact, both I and my husband have worked as lifeguards in Canada.

Therefore, we had gone through HCP Courses Winnipeg and we loved spending our time in water. We also know how to take care of our safety and ensure our protection in water as well.

On one day, we were spending our time by the beach. This specific beach was well-known because of the mild riptides that it had. We loved spending our time in this beach due to the same reason. That’s because it provided the opportunity to float along the waters with masks and snorkels. While floating, we could experience the sights of sea turtles as well.

On the day we went, we noticed that the pull is quite stronger. However, we were enjoying our time by the beach. We were both wearing our life jackets because we experienced strong currents. We learnt this from the HCP courses that we had taken.

While spending time in the beach, we were able to notice an older woman, who was floating along. In fact, she has been pulled across. Since she was trying to do something adventurous, we kept an eye on her. That’s where we noticed that she is trying to climb onto one of the corals that are located in the middle of the beach. It would definitely provide her with an amazing view and an experience. However, she got carried out by the tide. She failed to climb to the top of the coral as well. That’s where we noticed that she is in danger. My husband quickly responded to the situation. He swam to the woman who was struggling and helped her to come back to the shore.

By this moment, I noticed that she has been struggling. In fact, she has drunk water during the struggle. That’s where she started grabbing the chest. In a weak tone, she managed to say that she is suffering from asthma. I was able to locate her bag. Then I dug into the bag and helped her to locate the inhaler. She was able to take it as well. In the meantime, we were able to find her partner.

She didn’t recover fully with the inhaler. That’s where the knowledge that I gathered from first aid training helped me with. I went ahead and offered some basic first aid as per the lessons that I have gone through while following the CPR Courses Winnipeg. I had a clear understanding on how to respond to the situation and how to provide appropriate first aid. This helped me to survive the life of that women.

I’m glad about my previous vacation because I could help someone who has been struggling for life. Therefore, I would encourage all the people to go through the HCP courses and get a proper first aid training. It will come to your survival in any given situation and you will appreciate what you have learnt.
